Wisdom

Philosopher means in Greek, "a friend of wisdom". Wisdom creates a bright presence in our minds, allowing us to perceive with clarity beyond the veils of illusion. When wisdom is accompanied by Faith they create together trust in our highest truths. We are then able to pass safely through the dark and difficult corners of life feeling inner security and inner peace. Thus, when I believe that I am an immortal soul, a divine energy that is temporarily evolving in the material body, I obtain clarity concerning what is important and what is not.

We understand that since we will be leaving this material reality that there is no sense in chasing after and accumulating material objects or wealth. When I have wisdom I realize that all my negative emotions are a result of ignorance and fear. Liberated from the personality, which fears and feels offended, I experience peace and love regardless of the others actions. When I have wisdom I know that we are all one and feel unity with all my brethren and nature. When I have wisdom, I experience my life purpose as a soul in evolution, which came to learn, serve and create.

I then direct my time and energy towards my life purpose and not on unfruitful activities which diminish the quality my life. When I have wisdom, I understand my brethren and myself. I understand that we are in a process of perfecting ourselves as each of us is seeking to manifest his or her inner beauty, love and harmony. I remember Christãs words, "Let he who has not sinned throw the first stone" and I can not judge.

When I have wisdom, I experience inner peace because I then perceive the perfection of creation. Beyond the pain of human injustice I can sense Divine justice. Everything and everyone are in their "places"- where they should be - at this stage of the evolutionary process. Wisdom also tells me that these roles and situations are in a delicate dynamic balance as constantly change and growth.

Our mission is to work incessantly towards perfecting our expression of our innate spiritual quantities. We are here to create a planet and society based on love, equality and unity.

When I have Wisdom, I have:

Faith Love Peace Clarity Gratitude Humility Patience Perseverance Discipline Understanding Sincerity Courage Happiness Unity

Truths Which Aid Forgiveness

Some truths which will help us forgive others are (some are based on various spiritual beliefs or Christian concepts which might not be acceptable to you or the subject):

1. All happens according to a divine plan which brings me exactly what I need at every stage of my evolutionary process in order to learn the next lesson.

2. Others are simply actors in my life drama, the script of which I write daily.

3. Others are the hands of the divine showing me the direction in which I must go.

4. All are souls in evolution, who act negatively out of ignorance and fear.

5. Forgiving does not mean saying that what the other did was right, it simply means that I forgive his ignorance and weakness as a fellow soul in the evolutionary process.

6. Forgiving does not make me vulnerable. Still needing something (security, affirmation, love ) from the other makes us vulnerable. Forgiving and loving without needing any thing from the other is my real protection.

7. I am the sole creator of my reality. I abuse others when I hold them responsible for what I create.

8. I have the power to create my life and need not hide behind excuses that I cannot because of something which others have done or are doing.

9. As souls in the process of evolution we all make many mistakes. This is natural. What is unnatural is not forgiving ourselves and others for these mistakes.

10. The other is a divine creation. Although he may not realize it, the divine is functioning through him. Not forgiving him, is to not forgive the divine.

11. We create as much pain in the world when we feel hurt as when we hurt.

Protecting Our Spiritual Sapling

When we plant a young tree sapling, we need to protect it from the various dangers to its safe survival. One danger is the lack of water. We need to see that it is watered frequently, until it is able to establish its roots deeply into the earth, insuring for itself a steady supply of water, regardless of external conditions.

In the same way we need to protect our newborn spiritual self from drying up because of a lack of spiritual sustenance. We can do this by keeping company with spiritually oriented persons through seminars and group gatherings for such purposes. We can also water our inner spiritual sapling through daily prayer, meditation and reading of spiritual texts.

Another danger is that passing goats might eat it. Thus we must erect a temporary fence around the sapling, preventing the goats from eating its tender leaves and shoots. Eventually, however, when the tree has grown larger and its leaves have risen above the level which the goats can reach, we can remove the fence without fear of there being any harm to the tree. Now the tree is not only no longer vulnerable, but it can offer protection to the goats from the hot sun or the rain or snow. The goats now benefit from the tree.

In the same way we must, in the beginning of our spiritual growth process, protect ourselves from company and contacts with people who are not spiritually oriented, so that we can have the opportunity to develop our inner faith and discipline. (This does not include, of course, our immediate family, whom we have incarnated to serve and love. Nor does it include people who need our help. It does include superficial social and professional contacts).

By avoiding those who are negative towards spiritual values, and keeping company with those who embrace those values, we gradually strengthen our spiritual sapling into a full-grown tree, which no longer needs any such protection. Now, we can have contact with all types of negative influences without loosing our center.

Now, like the large tree, we can offer comfort, love and wisdom even to those who previously would have caused us to loose our spiritual center.
We need to determine whether we are saplings or trees and act accordingly.
